Did you know that the average return on your ENF Contribution Dollar for last year was 185%.

That's not a misprint !  For the $121,007 dollars contributed by Elks in state of Colorado for the fraternal year 1997/98, Colorado will receive back for charity use within our state this fraternal year $223,330 dollars.

Where can you find a greater return on your investment ?? !!!   Even the very best charities within United Way or other direct sponsored charities are lucky to be able to show you a direct return of 80 cents for every dollar you contribute.

This Years Target is only $ 3.50 per member.  That's less then a penny a day !!!!

This Year's ENF Budget Will Give :

· $ 2.092 Million Dollars to 500 four year Most Valuable Student Scholarships - Colorado  received 14 scholarships totaling $14,000 dollars

· $ 96,000 Dollars for 8 four year Eagle Scout Scholarships & 8 four year Gold Scout Scholarships

· $ 500,000 Dollars in Legacy Award one year scholarships to 500 children of Elks

· Up to $ 500,000 Dollars in one year educational grants to the children of disabled or departed Elks

· $ 674,500 Dollars to completely fund the Elks Drug Awareness Education Program

· $ 580,008 Dollars to completely fund the Elks national free throw contest (plus $1000 dollars to maintain the Elks Theater in the Basketball Hall of Fame)

· $ 528,950 Dollars to help fund the Elks Veterans Service Program

· $ 875,000 Dollars to help fund the Elks retirement center in Bedford VA (plus $7,500 nursing scholarship to a Bedford VA resident)

· $ 350,000 to maintain the Elks Veterans Memorial in Chicago

· $ 4.002 Million Dollars to state Elks associations for grants to help fund state's major charitable projects

· $ 2,242,400 Dollars to state Elks associations to help fund state scholarship programs

· $ 50,000 Dollars toward construction of the new D Day Memorial foundation

· $ 10,000 Dollars for the World Scout Jamboree in Chile

· $ 10,000 Dollars for miscellaneous grants

· $ 100,000 Dollars for ENF computer system upgrade & $ 500,000 Dollars for day-to-day operations (less then 0.5% of appropriations will go to fund maintenance/operation)

· TOTAL APPROPRIATIONS for 1998/99   -  $ 13,219,358 Dollars

Your $10 contribution could result in over $18.50 spent within our state next year helping children to receive educations, our state's veterans to receive continuing needed services and other needy organizations to receive help in the ELKS name.

Participating Member: A $100 pledge payable in full or annual installments of $10
Honorary Founder: A $1000 pledge payable in full or annual installments of $100

Permanent Benefactor: Subsequent $1000 donations after completing Honorary Founder Pledge

Memorial: Contributions to the Foundation in memory of loved ones

Bequests: Name the Elks National Foundation as a beneficiary of an estate
